Small, compact, and lightweight—this fire starter has been a game-changer for me. I’ve started more fires with this than I ever have with my ferro rods! While I’m not a hardcore outdoorsman, I’m trying to get outside more, and let’s just say I may have gone overboard investing in ferro rods. But I digress.Having one of these in my pocket, along with some cotton balls coated in petroleum jelly, is a foolproof fire-starting combo. It’s incredibly easy to use, and I even tested it while wearing gloves. Although a bit more challenging, it still worked. The sparks are just the right temperature to ignite cotton balls. I also tried it with waxed jute twine—it works but takes a bit longer to catch.I’m not the biggest fan of Bear Grylls or the products under his brand, but I gave this one a shot and was genuinely impressed. Highly recommend it!
