For years I was dealing with this surging power under slow acceleration and when you let off the gas it has a huge drop in rpm and sometimes would even die. I replaced all sorts of sensors with new NGK sensors trying to diagnose it. Thankfully I made some posts about this issue which is very common I’ve found out and got a response from a kind guy that said to unplug the egr valve and go for a test drive, if it stops the surging and dying that’s the issue. Thank the lord because it was because I love driving this truck and this issue had been ruining all the enjoyment of driving it and cruising so I left it unplugged so I could drive in the meantime and ordered this immediately. It was in perfect condition and I installed it quickly, take the coolant jug out for loads more room and I recommend kroil or wd40 or any penetrating oil at all on all the bolts but especially the exhaust tube bolts because they seize easy and will snap in a heartbeat otherwise without something to loosen it up. Popped the new one in with the new gaskets but NOT the bolts they’re junk and plugged it back up, and now I can get back to truly enjoying driving this truck!
