A tan caddis larva pattern is super important to include in a box of nymphs. They not only imitate caddis larvae but a variety of other insects that trout love. A buggy, wormy-looking fly that fit the bill for trout food. It can be hard to guess at times if the trout think it’s a larva or a grub but either way, they love to try and eat it. Having these in the bead head pattern can also help to get further down and present the fly as though it’s a dislodged larva floating downstream. A solid nymph pattern that should be in the box of every angler. A few colors, weights, and sizes will help make for a day of tight lines.
