I had been using the same cheese slicer for 25 years. It was starting to get rusty in places the screw didn’t keep the size adjustment in place well anymore. The metal flaked in a few places. Translation, it had seen better days, and it was time for a replacement. It had a good run. I was thankful to find this cheese slicer on Amazon that is the same exact style, shape, and size as my previous slicer. I have no idea if it is the same brand, because I purchased that original slicer before I knew Amazon existed–before I had the internet at home or my own pc. I like the practical design and use of this slicer. It works as my old one does, and I am happy/satisfied with that. If it lasts half as long, I will be satisfied with the results of this order. It looks exactly the same, so I expect it to have a long lifespan. Recommended.
