Saint-Imier 38 mm Concept & History The Saint-Imier collection pays homage to the place where Longines was founded and reflects the brand's deep-rooted watchmaking tradition in the Swiss Jura. The reference L2.763.4.52.6 is positioned as a classic timepiece that combines mechanical finesse with a sporty appearance. Developed for connoisseurs who appreciate understatement and historical significance, this model draws on the purist aesthetics of historical designs without compromising on modern manufacturing standards. Caliber & Technology Inside this model, the automatic Caliber L619, which is constructively based on the proven ETA 2892-A2 based. It operates with a frequency of 28,800 A/h and provides a power reserve of 42 hours available. The precise mechanism can be admired through the transparent back and features a classic finish, including a rotor refined with Côtes de Genève and a fine perlage on the bridges. Case & Material The completely Stainless steel manufactured housing measures 38.5 mm in diameter and has an overall height of 9.5 mm on. These moderate proportions ensure excellent wearer ergonomics. Alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces underline the high quality of workmanship. The water resistance is 3 ATM which qualifies the timepiece for everyday urban use. Scratch-resistant, anti-reflective Sapphire crystal reliably protects the front and base of the housing from external influences. Aesthetics & Readability The black dial provides a strong visual contrast to the applied indices made of Stainless steel and the striking Arabic numeral at 12 o'clock. Faceted hands are partially coated with luminous material, which guarantees that the time can be read quickly even in poor lighting conditions. The date indication at 3 o'clock blends seamlessly into the dial design. An integrated link bracelet made of Stainless steel with double folding clasp rounds off the coherent overall design.
