IWC Ingenieur Automatic AMG Black Series Ceramic Synergy of motorsport and horology The Reference IW322503 marks a significant point in the long-standing partnership between the Schaffhausen-based manufacturer and Mercedes-AMG. Inspired by the high-performance ceramic brakes of the AMG racing cars, black zirconium oxide ceramic was chosen for the 46-millimeter case. This material is characterized by extreme scratch resistance, skin compatibility and a matt, technical-looking texture that contrasts with the highly polished bevels on the bezel. The dial in a deep black piano lacquer finish corresponds with the applied indices, which are coated with Super-LumiNova and therefore guarantee optimum readability in all lighting conditions.
